The Lloyd’s Emerging Risk team are at the forefront of the global risk management industry, where they develop novel quantitative solutions for risks that are yet to be fully understood that may have significant consequences for the insurance industry.  This role requires someone with advanced knowledge of SQL, R and/or Python and the knowledge of tools and techniques used to analyse large volumes of data. Whilst as the Emerging Risks Associate you will have involvement in all aspects of emerging risks, it would be beneficial to have a passion for understanding Cyber risks, the curiosity as to what these could look like in the future and how these can be mitigated through advanced predictive modelling.

 

As the Emerging Risks Associate you will:

  • Provide high quality quantitative analysis based on internal and external data
    • Contribute to Markets Emerging Risk Strategy
    • Contribute to methods to evaluate the Markets emerging risk landscape and drive implications for Markets, including risk ranking
  • Support the development of new analytical solutions for the aggregation of emerging risks
    • Work on novel approaches for the quantification of emerging risks and exposures
    • Including, but not limited to, the Lloyd’s Cyber Model
  • Support the delivery of strategic projects, providing insights and expertise when required
    • Including, but not limited to, the Lloyd’s Cyber Strategy
    • Translate Futureset output into market-relevant deliverables
  • Assist in the identification, analysis, and quantification of emerging risks impacting the underwriting portfolio at Lloyd’s
    • Evaluate the emerging risk landscape and analyse the implications for the market, including risk ranking
    • Develop relationships with the wider Portfolio Risk Management team to perform interdisciplinary tasks
