We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Business Development Manager / Field Sales Executive who has a proven track record within construction sales, excellent relationship-building skills and demonstrable commercial awareness.

Working as the Business Development Manager / Field Sales Executive you will build strong, valuable relationships with existing customers at every opportunity, using your sales skills to persuade and influence. 

As the Business Development Manager / Field Sales Executive you will handle objections, close sales and deliver results selling thermal and acoustic insulation.  You will seek out new customers including, End Users of the company’s products, Architects, Specifiers, Contractors, Distributors and Merchants, to develop and grow sales across the product portfolio.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Business Development Manager / Field Sales Executive include:

  • Deliver growth in key metrics defined by the company within the region by taking responsibility for the identification of all customers/potential customers, markets and product applications within area of ownerships, initiating, developing and managing sales activities within the geographical area to support business objectives
  • Responsible for Demand Generation, Specification and Propositions to customers to grow sales across the whole company product portfolio
  • Deliver quality customer communication and frequent engagement through monthly call cycles, training sessions and delivery of CPD presentations
  • Accountable for sales conversion to order as a result of proactive response to customer contact, enquiries and specifications
  • Responsible for feeding back marketing information concerning competition, customers etc. with respect to project specifications, pricing, distribution & delivery
  • Responsible for providing professional technical advice and support, services, site surveys & training to improve market share
  • Accountable for delivery of results required by the business plan/strategy
  • Collaborate effectively with industry partners & colleagues to deliver detailed project tracking
  • Performing tasks assigned by management & providing regular reports by agreed deadlines
  • Main customer interface for order intake, processing and logistics
  • Maintain order accuracy and ensure orders are entered within timeframe
  • Work with the customer and internal Departments in relation to payments

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record within construction sales
  • Highly skilled in dealing with end-users and supply chain partners
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness
  • Able to deliver tangible evidence of sector knowledge
  • Adept in building strong relationships at every level
  • Collaborative approach to the sales process and able to work as part of a close-knit team
  • Able to execute a regional business plan and show a thorough understanding of each step in an effective sales process
