Warehouse Assistant / Administrator with proven warehouse and office administration experience, excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail is required for a busy Depot based in Spaldwick, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.                          

Please Note: This depot will be moving to Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire in the next few months, and this will become the new place of work.  Candidates applying for this role should be able to commute to both Spaldwick and Fenstanton


SALARY: Competitive + Benefits (33 Days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays, Incentive Schemes, Private Healthcare and Pension Scheme     

LOCATION: Spaldwick, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire – moving to Fenstanton in the next few months

TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent / Annualised Hours – a flexible approach to your working pattern and hours will be essential to meet the seasonality of the business

WORKING HOURS: 8am to 5pm Core hours although during busy periods you could be required to work more, but this would be balanced with working less hours during the quieter season



We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant / Administrator with proven warehouse and office administration experience, excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.

Working as the Warehouse Assistant / Administrator you will report directly to the Depot Supervisor and will undertake a multi-skilled combination of Warehouse Assistant and Depot Assistant duties, with the majority of the time spent in the warehouse to include duties such as picking/packing/loading vehicles.

Getting orders right is a necessity for the drivers to ensure the customers receive the right goods at the right time.  As the Warehouse Assistant / Administrator you will be required to work in the office and assist both the Depot Supervisor and Depot Assistant with running an effective, best practice office.

You will work closely with all team members and the wider business to ensure the organisation meets it’s high professional standards of distribution and safe operating procedures.

As the Warehouse Assistant / Administrator your duties will include:

  • Unloading and movement of stock around the depot via forklift, safely and in accordance with Company standards
  • Assist with administration, including stock control and housekeeping on the internal IFS system
  • Assist with customer enquiries and orders both over the telephone and face to face
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and efficient storage and distribution operation, creating efficiencies where suitable
  • Work with the Depot Supervisor and Depot Assistant to maintain the smooth operation of the depot
  • Work with the Depot Supervisor and Depot Assistant to organise workload and communications to team members and ensure everyone is working to the highest standards
  • Work to uphold the highest of internal and external standards of compliance including but not limited to BASIS, Environmental and Fire Regulations, Health and Safety Executive, and Working Time Regulations
  • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders across the internal and external business
  • Must have a hands-on attitude and be able to work in any area of the depot when required and as instructed by the Depot Supervisor

On occasion there may be a requirement to travel to different locations to attend training or meetings or support other depots



  • Proven experience working in a warehouse and knowledge of safe working practices
  • Office / administration experience is essential
  • Ideally you will have a knowledge of product storage solutions and a passion for agriculture
  • Ability to use computer systems effectively
  • Counter-balance licence would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great communication skills
  • High attention to detail whilst working under pressure
  • A ‘can-do’ approach

This role will be on an annualised hours contract and therefore a flexible approach to your working pattern and hours will be essential to meet the seasonality of the business. 

Training will be provided as necessary to the successful candidate.
