SALARY: up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

DUTIES
Your duties as a Domestic Abuse Support Worker include:
- Providing a safe and supportive environment for service users
- Developing and implementing individual support plans in collaboration with service users, focusing on their needs and goals
- Offering emotional support, active listening, and a non-judgemental approach
- Providing practical assistance with issues such as housing, benefits, legal processes, and accessing other relevant services
- Assisting service users in developing coping mechanisms and safety plans
- Facilitating group work sessions (where appropriate and with training)
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Working collaboratively with other team members and external agencies
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- A genuine passion for supporting women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact
- Experience of providing support to vulnerable individuals (desirable)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and local support services (desirable)
