JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who is either apprentice trained or equivalent with the ability to weld, fault find/ fix and repair issues with equipment and machines and has a good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Working as the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will report directly to the Facilities Manager. This will be a very much “hands” on pro-active role, responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair / maintenance of machinery including pneumatic automated assembly, injection moulding machines, powder coating lines, conveyors and hydraulic presses.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will also complete PPM activities of factory services and support new installations of plant, miscellaneous old and new equipment.
As a successful candidate you will have a proven track record in a similar role with an extensive mechanical understanding ideally 80/20 bias with the ability to identify potential issues and advise on corrective course of measures.
You will also be a focused team player with a strong character who likes to work in a fast pace expanding business, the aim of further improving the department, creative and the ability to convey your own ideas to the department.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
- Ideally apprentice trained or equivalent, NVQ level 3
- Fault finding, fix and repair
- Experience working on pneumatics and hydraulics machinery
- Experience working in a factory environment is preferred
