Marketing Executive / Direct Campaign Fundraising Officer (known as a Single Gifts Campaign Executive at the charity) who has experience of direct marketing, with very good organisation, communication and administration skills is required to join Guide Dogs.

 

SALARY: Starting from £20,599 per annum

LOCATION: Reading, Berkshire – there will be opportunities to work from home 3 days a week as well as the office 2 days a week (subject to change based on business requirements)

WORKING HOURS: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Marketing Executive / Direct Campaign Fundraising Officer who has experience of direct marketing, with very good organisation, communication, and administration skills.

Supporting people with sight loss to live life independently is at the heart of what the charity does. As the Marketing Executive / Direct Campaign Fundraising Officer you would play an important part in this.

As the Marketing Executive / Direct Campaign Fundraising Officer you will assist with the delivery of tactical retention and acquisition Single Gifts (Cash appeals and Raffle) fundraising campaigns.  This involves supporting with administrative and campaign related tasks such as:

  • reporting on results
  • proof reading/reviewing collateral
  • copy writing
  • collating/actioning feedback
  • managing print production
  • producing wrap up reports

 

DUTIES

Your duties as the Marketing Executive / Direct Campaign Fundraising Officer include:

  • Assist the delivery of campaigns and loyalty activity, delivering on time, to budget and maximising response and value
  • Manage the delivery of the loyalty communications, to time and on budget, making and implementing recommendations for improving the scheme and processes
  • Maintain up to date and accurate files for all campaigns to enable historic tracking of the performance of each campaign to inform for future activity
  • Undertake post campaign analysis, producing wrap up reports and making recommendations for campaign improvement
  • Work with suppliers to ensure quality work is delivered, within the defined schedule and at a competitive cost
  • Work with the Online team and External Lottery Manager to ensure regularly updated content on the Cash and Raffle sites
  • Work with other teams to ensure the smooth delivery of Single Gifts activity, and to promote the team positively within the organisation
  • Manage general queries from internal departments, supporters and members of the public on the Cash and Raffle scheme

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working in a busy environment with a successful track record of delivering against competing priorities
  • Direct Marketing and administration experience
  • Demonstratable experience of working within a Direct Marketing team
  • Experience of effectively working with a number of different teams and/or suppliers
  • An understanding of administrative systems
  • Demonstrable understanding of direct marketing principles and techniques
  • Competent in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Very good organisation, communication and administration skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
