As a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative you will support day-to-day production activities, carrying out assembly work based on accurate measurements, instructions and drawings.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative include:
- Assembly Line Work: Producing items using measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions
- Quality Checks: Inspecting assembled products for defects
- Materials Handling: Packing boxes, loading and unloading materials and finished goods
- Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and reporting any incidents or faults
- Team Support: Working under the direction of a senior operative or supervisor
- Operational Efficiency: Supporting smooth day-to-day production activities
- Equipment Handling: Managing materials and components safely
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Background in Similar Roles: Previous experience in an assembly, production or manufacturing environment
- Teamwork: Able to work individually and collaboratively
- Attention to Detail: Accurate, careful and takes pride in work
- Instruction Following: Able to understand and follow written and verbal guidance
- Pressure Handling: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Physical Capability: Able to lift items safely within guidelines
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of workplace safety protocols
- Initiative: Able to work proactively when required
Desirable
- Forklift Licence: Advantageous but not essential
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of production machinery and assembly procedures
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read technical drawings or schematics
