SALARY: £38,223 - £42,403 per annum pro rata + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid role – working part from home and part from the office in Wokingham

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Management Accountant with previous experience of finance in a complex organisation, an aptitude for accounting and numbers and the ability to provide support on financial matters.

Working as the Management Accountant you will provide timely and high-quality financial advice to a range of budget managers.

As the Management Accountant you will have report to the Senior Management Accountant and will have a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

DUTIES

Your duties as the Management Accountant include:

  • Budget setting, budget monitoring, year-end closedown and statutory returns
  • Provide support and advice to a range of stakeholders, promoting strong financial governance
  • Financial support on change projects and grants
  • Preparation and presentation of reports
  • Provide advice and support on legislative and guidance changes
  • Assisting with delivery of training, such as to budget managers / other colleagues

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree level or equivalent relevant professional qualifications or expertise
  • Aptitude for numbers & finance
  • Prior experience of working in a finance or accounting role
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to interrogate & analyse data and information
