FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Comprehensive training will be provided, including a City & Guilds Energy Awareness course and an SQA-accredited qualification over 6–9 weeks. Training takes place Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional training will be offered based on role requirements.

 

SALARY: £26,260 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: This hybrid position allows for flexible working from home or from the offices in Dundee or Aberdeen, with occasional office attendance. Applicants must reside in, or very near to, one of the six service areas (Moray, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Angus, Dundee City, and Perth and Kinross)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Community Partnership Officer to build and maintain strong relationships with community groups and organisations, promoting sustainable energy solutions and tackling fuel poverty across the North-East of Scotland.

As a Community Partnership Officer, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders, deliver training sessions, and encourage referrals to key energy support services. You will play an important role in increasing awareness of energy efficiency and home sustainability programmes.

The Community Partnership Officer role offers hybrid working, combining home-based flexibility with time spent in regional offices or community settings. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys partnership building, training delivery, and making a positive social impact.

 

DUTIES

Your duties as the Community Partnership Officer include:

  • Develop and Maintain Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with community groups, voluntary organisations, and local bodies
  • Promote Energy Support Services: Raise awareness of national fuel poverty programmes and home energy advice services
  • Deliver Training and Events: Provide engaging presentations, both in-person and online, to partner organisations
  • Facilitate Referrals: Support organisations in using digital tools to refer clients to relevant energy-saving programmes
  • Attend Networking Meetings: Represent the organisation at community meetings and stakeholder events
  • Identify New Opportunities: Seek out and develop new partnerships to extend the reach of community engagement activities

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • A background in customer service, community work, or stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in presenting to groups
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment
  • Strong digital skills, including online communication tools and data management systems
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about energy efficiency and fuel poverty
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport for travel across the service area
