This role is known within the organisation as an Assets Investment Surveyor.
SALARY: Up to £40,751 per annum (depending on experience and/or qualifications) + Excellent Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Building Surveyor with a relevant professional building qualification or background in building surveying or maintenance, strong customer focus and the ability to complete and review risk assessments.
Working as the Building Surveyor you will plan, prioritise and ensure delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes and projects on all properties owned or managed by the organisation, including budgetary control, contract management, service coordination and administration to ensure that projects are delivered to the agreed standards and achieve the expected levels of customer satisfaction.
As the Building Surveyor you will support the Assets Investment Manager to check data and verify investment decisions to ensure all properties meet Decent Homes Standard.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Building Surveyor you will have:
- A professional building qualification or a background in building surveying or maintenance
- Current knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations
- An understanding of stock condition surveys and the Housing Health & Safety Rating System
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of working with building and service contracts
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and technical specifications
- Experience of using Schedule of Rates to issue and control maintenance work
- Ability to complete risk assessments
- Knowledge of fire risk assessments is desirable
- An understanding of Section 20 requirements is desirable
