Administrator / Events and Corporate Fundraising Coordinator with excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills, is an extremely well organised, self-starter, with an interest in fundraising, marketing and/or public relations, is required to join our team at The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF), which is the Army’s national charity, supporting soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families in times of need.

This role is known within the Charity as an Events and Corporate Fundraising Assistant

 

SALARY: £28,500 pro rata + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid – working a minimum of 2 days per week from the office in Victoria, London and the remaining time from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Initial 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week (flexibility required to work outside of core hours and at weekends when necessary)

 

Please note: Whilst London based, this appointment involves travel around the UK, and occasionally overseas

DUTIES                                                              

Your duties as the Administrator / Events and Corporate Fundraising Coordinator will include:

  • Support the Events and Corporate Team in maximising income for the charity through its activities, including close liaison with the regional teams
  • Assist with the high standard of supporter care and account management established by The Army Benevolent Fund team
  • Work with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to research and report on potential and existing corporate relationships
  • Responsibility for coordinating and growing our event community: The Fundraising Army. Work with the Team to develop The Fundraising Army including drafting engaging content across our platforms

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with all elements of the Charity and supporting volunteers
  • Computer literate, comfortable with MS Office tools, familiar with social media platforms
  • Passion for learning
  • A self-starter, proactive, collegiate, with drive and commitment
  • Strong empathy with the cause of the Charity and its beneficiaries
  • Whilst London based, this appointment involves travel around the UK, and occasionally overseas
  • Must be willing to work outside of core hours and at weekends when necessary
  • A demonstrable interest in fundraising, marketing and/or public relations
  • Ability to handle pressure
