SALARY: £9.93 per hour
LOCATION: Worthing, West Sussex

We have a fantastic part-time job opportunity for a Youth & Community Worker who can relate, encourage and support young people, teenagers and people suffering from chronic long-term health conditions.
Working as the Youth & Community Worker you will join the Community House Project based in East Worthing that runs a number of structured, timetabled activities as well as providing an informal drop in facility for the local community and general public. The house is jointly funded by Worthing Homes and The National Lottery Community Fund (Previously known as the Big Lottery Fund) and aims to support the needs of individuals within the local community.
STRIVE Project – Every Tuesday from 11.00am till 1.00pm (paid for 2.5 hours)
As the Youth & Community Worker you will help us to deliver our STRIVE project (Socialising Together Regularly Inspiring Volunteering and Enjoyment) for people suffering with chronic long-term health conditions who struggle with pain, low mood or isolation.
As the Youth & Community Worker you will be responsible for:
- Helping to identify community issues and needs, developing a community based programme in response
- Preparing workshops and taster sessions
- Planning and evaluating each session
- Keeping in contact with the group on a regular basis
