Warehouse Operative / Stores Person / Materials Handler who has good organisational skills with the ability to store, locate and update stock within a warehouse / depot environment is required for a well-established company based in Neath, Wales.

 

SALARY: up to £27,000 per annum + Benefits   

LOCATION: Neath, Wales  

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

 

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Stores Person / Materials Handler who has good organisational skills with the ability to store, locate and update stock within a warehouse / depot environment.

Working as the Warehouse Operative / Stores Person / Materials Handler you will manage stock entering and leaving the warehouse / depot ensure records are updated and equipment / items entering the facility are stored securely.

As the Warehouse Operative / Stores Person / Materials Handler you will need an eye for detail with the ability to complete the required paperwork and be highly organised with the ability to keep on top of all items entering and leaving the facility.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Warehouse Operative / Stores Person / Materials Handler include:

  • Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or pick up
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
  • Perform regular stock checks and participate in inventory audits
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary)
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse or stores role preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures
  • Valid forklift license (desirable but not essential)
