GCSE English and/or Maths Teacher (Lecturer / Tutor) that holds a full teaching qualification (PGCE, DET or equivalent) is required to inspire, motivate and teach students at a successful and well-established Further Education College based in Redhill, Surrey.

 

JOB TYPE: Part-Time and Full-Time, Permanent Positions Available

SALARY: £24,071 - £34,282 per annum (subject to experience and qualifications), pro-rated for part-time positions. Sessional hourly pay rate £29.18 per hour (including holiday pay)

WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week for full-time positions, Part-Time work (minimum of 2 Days per Week and Sessional Work (variable hours, paid hourly)

  • Deliver inspiring teaching and excellence in planning, motivating and assessing learners, acting as Course/Subject Leader as required
  • To promote high levels of retention, achievement and attendance within the learner population
  • Contribute to the planning, development and review of activities, including course reviews, self-assessment and other college QI activity

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As one of the Colleges Teachers (Lecturer / Tutor), you will have the ability to deliver a diverse range of English and/or Maths qualifications, ranging from entry level through to GCSE. You will:

  • Hold a full teaching qualification (PGCE, DET or equivalent)
  • Have an A-Level in English and/or Maths as a minimum, although a Degree level qualification in English and/or Maths would be preferable

Successful candidates must also be highly motivated, possess exceptional organisational skills, work well with colleagues and have a creative and innovative approach to enthuse the students to succeed. Candidates will have a demonstrable innovative approach to teaching and will ensure that lessons are designed to develop skills.
