We are looking for Role Models to join us as Residential Child Care Support Workers in our Children’s Home based in Ilford, Essex, at Five Rivers Child Care, we are a local social enterprise that has been established in Salisbury for over 30 years.
We take a Therapeutic proactive approach when caring for our children, this role is challenging yet a rewarding one, our children have experienced childhood trauma which can lead to behaviours of concern, as role models and working as a Residential Child Care Support Worker, you will be supporting our children through this in a loving a nurturing way and turning children’s lives around every day.
As a Residential Child Care Support Worker part of the role involves sleep in’s, this is integral to the consistent continued support we give our children, you will need to be able to commit to at least 2-3 of these per week, you will be paid an additional £36 per sleep in.
Our children are aged between 7-12 upon admission and our children’s homes range from single bed homes to 5-6 bedded homes, we are currently recruiting for our Fantastic 4-bedded childrens home in Ilford in Essex
As the Residential Child Care Support Worker, you will have the following:
- Must have a Full UK driving licence - this is essential
- Must have a passion to work with children
- QCF Level 3 Children & Young people workforce or Health & Social Care is desirable, if you do not have this qualification, we will put you through it
- Be able to commit to the role 365 days a year (on rota basis)
