SALARY: £8.91 - £9.60 per Hour + Sleep In Rate (£7.83 per Hour)

BENEFITS: Sleep-ins paid at £7.83 per hour paid from 11pm to 7am, Comprehensive Training, Paid Shadow Shifts, Pension Scheme, Free Health Care Scheme, Seaside static caravan to rent at discounted rates on a Haven site (sleeps up to 8)

LOCATION: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, West Midlands

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full or Part Time

SHIFT PATTERNS: Shift patterns can vary so can be any of the following plus more:     

07:00 – 15:00 hours

15:00 – 22:00 hours

10:00 – 18:00 hours

Plus Sleep-in Shifts – Candidates will need to be flexible with working hours and some weekend work will be required

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within a residential home for a Mental Health and Learning Disability Support Worker / Care Assistant with excellent communication skills.

Working as the Mental Health and Learning Disability Support Worker / Care Assistant you will support clients in all aspects of day-to-day life, from personal care to shopping, managing bills, attending medical appointments, accessing the local community, and much more.

No two shifts are ever the same, and as a Mental Health and Learning Disability Support Worker / Care Assistant you will learn something new every day!

You will have fun with the service users, become a reliable and trusted Support Worker, kind and caring, and be involved in their development and daily life.

 

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

Whilst an NVQ Level 2 health and Social Care would be advantageous, the organisation also welcome applications from candidates who are new to the Care industry.

The organisation offers an in depth, 2 week new starter training program for all new applicants, along with continuous learning for all existing staff members.

At the end of your new starter training programme, you will be fully trained to support their customers. You will hold you Care Certificate, Fire Safety, First Aid, Medication trained, Safeguarding and Epilepsy certificates, plus many more.

Training is essential for you to commence employment with the organisation. You will be required to be flexible to attend the 10 days training. This will be a mixture of classroom learning at the office in Bedworth, and also via Zoom.

You are paid per hour to attend training dates, along with paid induction shifts prior to commencing on rota.
