Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant that has a full, clean driving licence and some basic administrative skills is required to support one of our visually impaired Mobility Specialist’s who work out in the field.

 

SALARY: £18,940 pro rata

LOCATION: South Cheshire / Sandbach Area

Although the role involves travel around the Cheshire and Merseyside area (with occasional travel outside of this), the postholder would ideally be located in the South Cheshire / Sandbach area.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 6 Month Contract

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant that has a full, clean driving licence and some basic administrative skills.

Working as the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will be driving and supporting one of the Company’s visually impaired Mobility Specialist’s on a day-to-day basis.

This job will involve driving the Mobility Specialist daily to appointments around the North West.

As the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will also support the Mobility Specialist by checking and reading emails if required, take notes in meetings and carry out basic administrative skills.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant:

  • To drive the person supported in order that they fulfil the requirements of travel in their role
  • Providing sighted assistance, orientation and guiding to the person supported
  • Note take and read documentation to the Mobility Specialist as required by them
  • Assist with basic data input on Microsoft Office programmes include MS Word and Excel

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • To hold a full, clean UK driving license and have your own car
  • Achievement of GCSE passes at C, or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
