Temporary Store Manager with a genuine love for retail and a passion for customer service ensuring the highest possible standard of visual merchandising, display and store standards are achieved at all times is required for an ever growing retail Company based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands.

 

SALARY: £20,696 pro rata

LOCATION: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands

JOB TYPE: 6 Month, Full-Time, Temporary Contract

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours over 5 days (Sunday to Saturday)

 

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Store Manager with a genuine love for retail and a passion for customer service ensuring the highest possible standard of visual merchandising, display and store standards are achieved at all times.

As a Store Manager you will work as part of a friendly, motivated team and play a vital role in the succession and delivery of the department and be responsible for maximising sales by providing a high standard of service.

Working as a Store Manager you will ensure the store maintains a high level of service to customers at all times as well as maintaining great levels of communication between team members, Area Managers and Head Office.

DUTIES

Your role as Store Manager will include:

  • To ensure that your store maximise sales and achieves its planned targets
  • To ensure the store maintains a high level of service to customers at all time
  • To ensure that the store implements organised promotions in accordance with company instructions and guidelines
  • To actively grow sales through local opportunities
  • Monitor competitor activities and feedback on other factors affecting trade
  • To keep all controllable store expenditure to a manageable level without compromise to sales including wage costs, utilities and petty cash
  • To ensure the store has the correct level of staffing on the correct days
  • To recruit, train, motivate and drive the team to exceed customer expectations
  • Take responsibility for any performance issues and discuss immediately with your Area Manager
  • To plan and control staff holiday dates to ensure consistent cover
  • To maintain great levels of communication between team members, Area Managers and Head Office
  • To observe, review and give regular feedback to your team
  • Ensure the highest possible standard of visual merchandising, display and store standards
  • To implement company merchandising guidelines
  • To use initiative to create visual appealing displays using your current stock package
  • To take accountability for Health and Safety policies and provide training on the company procedures
  • Accountable for company policy for sales reporting and cash handling
  • To ensure that all paperwork is carried out correctly and in a methodical manner
  • To deliver all company paperwork accurately and on time
  • Communicate with the Area Manager and keep them fully informed of events, occurrences and issues within store
  • To ensure that all members of the team are security conscious and follow company procedure
  • Work closely with the Area Manager and your team by means of constant communication
  • To be a team player and support where required
