Salesforce Manual Software Test Engineer with experience in creating and implementing Test Cases, Plans and Scripts, using Jira or other Test Management tools during the test execution and experience of large-scale Salesforce implementations is required by Guide Dogs.

 

SALARY: Up to £35,000 per annum

LOCATION: This role will have opportunities to work from home as well as being office based.  Preference for office location will be discussed at interview stage.       

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (the charity is always keen to support flexible working as best they can)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Salesforce Manual Software Test Engineer with experience in creating and implementing Test Cases, Plans and Scripts, using Jira or other Test Management tools during the test execution and experience of large-scale Salesforce implementations.

As the Salesforce Manual Software Test Engineer you will act as the gatekeeper of quality configuration, customisation and data for the Digital Transformation project across the Salesforce platform.

Working as the Salesforce Manual Software Test Engineer in an Agile environment across a large and complex Salesforce organisation you will be key to ensuring that all Salesforce change is optimised to the very highest quality.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Salesforce Manual Software Test Engineer will include:

  • Design, write and execute suites of manual test cases across the Salesforce platform
  • Apply QA Testing best practice to improve quality and resolve defects before they reach the live production environment
  • Support colleagues to design, write and execute Business Acceptance test cases to enable business owners to review and accept release content prior to live implementation
  • Maintain manual test scripts ensuring they remain relevant and are updated as code, configuration and process changes across the platform
  • Understand Salesforce functionality, data content, and business process of the capability being tested
  • Track defects, and follow defects through the resolution process until fix is verified and closed
  • Interact with Developers, Business Analysts, Functional Leads, and Salesforce

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Certified Salesforce Admin
  • ISTQB certification
  • Experience in creating/Implementing Test Cases, Plans, Scripts etc.
  • Experience with using Jira, or other Test Management tools, during the test execution
  • Experience of large-scale Salesforce implementations
  • Business Acceptance Testing best practice
  • Good knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle and Methodologies
  • Ability to design, write and execute manual tests on the salesforce platform
  • Good interpersonal skills / friendly and approachable, strong facilitation skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a remote team

 

Desirable

  • Agile accreditations
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector
  • Defining Test Strategies for functional and non-functional testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to work independently and perform under pressure
