SALARY: £18,250 - £21,556 per annum + £50 per sleep in
LOCATION: Salisbury, Wiltshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week – you will need to be able to commit to at least 2-3 sleep-in’s per week

Here at Five Rivers Child Care we are looking for Residential Childcare Support Workers to come and join our family at our children’s homes across Salisbury.
Five Rivers Child Care first welcomed girls and boys into their residential care homes in 1989. Our children are aged between 7-12 years upon admission and our children’s homes range from single bed homes to 5-6 bedded homes.
At Five Rivers Child Care we take a therapeutic proactive approach when caring for children, and working as the Residential Child Care Support Worker you will find this role is challenging yet a rewarding one. Our children have experienced childhood trauma which can lead to behaviours of concern. As role models, you will be supporting children through this in a loving and nurturing way, and turning their lives around every day.
As a Residential Child Care Support Worker, part of the role is sleep-in’s. This is integral to the consistent continued support we give our children. You will be positive, willing to open your heart, emotionally invest and prioritise our children’s needs. You will need to be adaptable in all you do whilst showing respect to the children/young people and your colleagues. Your integrity plays a big part in this role and along with support from others we will teach and train you to be excellent in all you do.
As the Residential Child Care Support Worker, you will have the following:
- Must have a Full Driving licence
- Must have a passion for working with children
- QCF Level 3 Children & Young people workforce or Health & Social Care is desirable, if you do not have this qualification, we will put you through it
- Be able to commit to the role 365 days a year (on rota basis)
