JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Manufacturing / Factory Quality Assurance Front Line Manager who has previous experience working within a quality function, including carrying out FMEAs and 8D with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working as the Manufacturing / Factory Quality Assurance Front Line Manager you will provide:

  • Incident Management – covering customer complaints, customer site problem solving, quarantine management and concerns that drive corrective and preventative actions
  • Risk Mitigation – covering FMEA management, design capability evaluation and change control management
  • Governance – covering development of control plans SOP’s and communications to operations
  • New Product Risk Assessment – representing quality at high risk job meetings, planning meetings and post job reviews
  • Support the Quality & OpEx Manager and other members of the Quality Team

DUTIES

Your key responsibilities as the Manufacturing / Factory Quality Assurance Front Line Manager:

  • The management of investigations into incidents
  • Key quality contact for customer related issues
  • Focus on risk management and mitigation
  • Gathering statistical data and preparing quality reports for distribution within the Group
  • Ensure all products/processes are assessed using the FMEA process and updated the assessments on a continual basis; run teams to achieve this
  • Ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions are implemented for external and internal issues, working with all areas within the business to achieve this goal
  • Use Quality Improvement tools to problem solve and continually improve the level of quality and performance
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly quality reports as required
  • Assist in the improvement of Quality systems and SOP’s when required
  • Develop comprehensive Quality Control Plans for all products, ensure their dissemination to the workforce and continually update in line with FMEA’s
  • Provide, create and update KPI’s to support tactical implementations, Levels 1 and 2
  • Liaising with the Technical Process and R&D departments as required on Quality and testing process issues related to existing and new products and processes
  • Communicating and escalating urgent Quality concerns to the Quality & OpEx Manager and other members of the team
  • Coach and mentor best practice in terms of quality control plans, FMEA’s, 8D’s, CRM, VM
  • Lead by example, motivate and encourage excellent team working whilst ensuring team targets and corporate objectives are met.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Manufacturing / Factory Quality Assurance Front Line Manager You will have the following:

  • Previous experience of working within a Quality function, including carrying out FMEAs and 8D
  • Good communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Experience in solving problems & driving improvements utilising data
  • High level of dexterity & attention to detail; good eyesight and able to discern colour
  • Experience of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Skilled in the use of the full range of Quality Improvement tools
  • Good Leadership/People Management skills
  • Flexible approach to working requirements including supporting the rest of the team and covering absences
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Work with other sites and the Central Teams when required on any required issues and projects
