We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Plant Manager with a strong engineering background and experience in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery.
Working as the Plant Manager you will join a well-established company, specialising in hiring a comprehensive range of plant machinery to water and civil engineering companies across the UK & Ireland.
As the Plant Manager you will oversee all the operational activities of the plant, as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Plant Manager will include:
- Ensure equipment capability is maintained including administration for calibration records including booking calibration and plant examinations
- Act as first point of contact for all internal and external hire requests from planning, lead miners and contracts managers
- Producing weekly on-hire reports for internal and external hires
- Placing orders and keeping internal hire records up to date
- Continuously improve the quality of products to meet the set standards and customers’ requirements
- Accountability for the safety, leadership, and financial performance of the operation of all plant
- Lead in all aspects of safety to ensure the safe operation of the yard
- Oversee all the operational activities of the plant
- Controlling expenditure and managing budgets
- Preparing production and performance reports for senior management
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant
- Maintaining all administrative record
- Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong engineering background
- Strong background in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery
- Knowledge of Verizon system ideal
- Experience operating in a similar role at a similar level
- Ability to communicate and influence confidently across different departments
- Results driven, capable of prioritising, and strong management skills
