Job Description

Pension Administrative Trainer / Junior Pensions Process Analyst who has experience of developing training or internal communications for pension administration processes with good knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) and / or Defined Contributions (DC) schemes is required by a well-established Company located in Birmingham, West Midlands.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Pension Administrative Trainer / Junior Process Analyst who has experience of developing training or internal communications within the pension administration industry.

Working as the Pension Administrative Trainer / Junior Process Analyst you will assist in the provision of high quality training modules, internal communications, process guidance and checklists to help promote good quality pensions administration and support the team on process issues.

As the Pension Administrative Trainer / Junior Process Analyst you will ideally have experience of working within the Pensions, Banking or Financial Services industry, with the ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of pension administration activities.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Pension Administrative Trainer / Junior Process Analyst will include:

  • Prepare and deliver training for administrators
  • Prepare process for administrators
  • Prepare regular Admin updates to identify the training and guidance available to administrators
  • Implement changes to processes, documentation and standard processes
  • Maintain the teams’ webpages on the company intranet site
  • Help with producing training material, with scope to develop training skills
  • Assist with delivering training as required
  • Update training logs and assist with arranging training sessions
  • Help produce communications in relation to changes affecting the admin teams
  • Help to identify good practice and suggest areas for improvement for procedure guidance and check lists
  • Scoping amendments to standard procedure guidance and checklists
  • Prepare regular Admin updates to identify the training and guidance available to administrators

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential               

  • Awareness of current pensions legislation and the regulatory framework
  • Extensive pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contributions (DC) schemes. 
  • Can demonstrate a sound understanding of pension administration activities and can apply this knowledge different types of scheme
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write in plain English
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, both numerical and written
  • Has experience of developing training or internal communications for business processes
  • Supports, motivates and shares knowledge to the benefit of the team and wider Company
  • A consultative approach to the management of change
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Good time management skills. Ability to work in advance of deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks
  • IT proficient, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. Experience of PowerPoint and Visio preferred
  • The ability to anticipate, resolve and own problems, escalating issues and proposing solutions
  • Enthusiastic, positive, flexible approach to work and be a team player
  • Effective interpersonal abilities, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Able to proactively take ownership and responsibility for own workload

 

Desirable

  • Continuing to develop technical pensions knowledge
  • Desire to develop technical and procedural expertise in specific areas that the candidate would like to specialise in
  • Commercial awareness and appreciation of risk v’s quality pressures
  • Successfully progressing CPC/DPC/RPC/APMI (or applicants deemed ‘qualified by experience’ would be considered)
  • A self-motivated approach to professional and personal development
