SALARY: £47,818 - £54,194 + £4,105 London Weighting per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Manager with effective leadership and management experience and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record of developing and implementing effective and successful corporate fundraising strategies within the charity sector.

Working as the Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Manager you will lead and grow the National Corporate Partnerships fundraising income and ‘in-kind’ services to meet the overall income targets and key performance indicator’s for The Guide Dogs Family to ensure high incomes are generated to deliver services to visually impaired people.

As the Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Manager you will provide strategic direction, decision making and support to the National Corporate Partnerships development and account management teams, to develop and manage high value corporate partners, ensuring profitable and sustainable relationships with partners and their employees.

 

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Manager will include:

  • Responsible for the National Corporate Partnership portfolio of up to 20 partners
  • Lead on the generation of income and ‘in-kind’ services and the growth of income in line with overall fundraising plans
  • Prepare and deliver strategic and annual plans
  • Source and grow your own portfolio and contribute to the diversification of income streams
  • Lead on new business development of existing partnerships and oversee the assessment of the commercial viability of partnerships/projects
  • Provide leadership, training and support to the Corporate Fundraising team
  • Identify, research, evaluate and market a robust portfolio of cost effective funding options and projects
  • Represent the Philanthropy and Partnerships team on key national projects groups
  • Work with the Procurement and Legal Department to ensure that suppliers of goods and services are appropriately sourced and managed

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Educated to degree or diploma level (or equivalent)
  • Institute of Fundraising or other fundraising Membership/Qualifications
  • Proven experience at management level
  • Proven effective leadership & management experience of a nationally dispersed business development and account management team
  • A strong demonstrable track record in the winning and account management of significant corporate donors
  • A successful track record of managing a major corporate campaign
  • Significant experience of building strategic relationships of value both externally and internally
  • Experience of managing sponsorship and licensing programmes preferably in a major charity
  • Lead and manage complex relationships, strategy development and detailed plans, including case for support work, client pitches and analyse of detailed information related to national corporate partnership engagement
  • Legislation and Codes of Conduct relevant to Corporate Fundraising
  • Legislation and protocols with regards to commercial agreements
  • Understanding of the needs of blind and partially sighted clients and colleagues
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective and successful corporate fundraising strategies within the charity sector
  • Excellent organisation and project management, decision making, problem solving and line management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work credibly with the senior management and at executive level
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present to people at all levels and larger groups
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
