Operations Manager / Liaison and Special Projects Lead who has operated at a senior level with exposure to strategy, policy and business plan formulation with experience working across multiple areas of an organisation and management of diverse stakeholders is required to support our Chief Executive Officer at Guide Dogs.

 

SALARY: £37,464 - £45,492 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Operations Manager / Liaison and Special Projects Lead who has operated at a senior level with exposure to strategy, policy and business plan formulation with experience working across multiple areas of an organisation and management of diverse stakeholders.

Working as the Operations Manager / Liaison and Special Projects Lead you will provide high level professional and expert executive support to the Chief Executive (CEO) in any area deemed appropriate and relevant, ensuring projects and activities are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standard.

As the Operations Manager / Liaison and Special Projects Lead you will also act as primary liaison with the charities Patron.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Project Manager / Liaison and Special Projects Lead includes:

  • Provide a high-level executive resource (advice and guidance) to the Chief Executive Officer on any aspect or assignment deemed appropriate and relevant by the Chief Executive Officer. Many aspects of the work are of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Act as an investigator for sensitive complaints, HR or Whistleblowing matters
  • Carry out research internally and externally to help inform policy decision making
  • Act as primary liaison for the charities Parton
  • Provide support to the Executive Officer, as needed, with complex, sensitive and confidential activities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Has operated at a senior level with exposure to strategy, policy and business plan formulation
  • Proven experience of working effectively across multiple areas of an organisation and management of diverse stakeholders
  • Experience of conducting investigations in a Whistleblowing or Grievance situation
  • Good grasp of employment legislation and business management practices including HR practices, Whistleblowing, financial and commercial aspects
  • Understands the needs of people living with a disability
  • Leadership skills
  • Able to identify and manage risks
  • Managing people and business skills
  • Good grasp of employment legislation and business management practices including HR practices, financial and commercial aspects
  • A demonstratable high level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgement
