As the Marketing Officer you will play a key role in a multi-faceted and high performing Marketing Campaigns Team.
The Marketing Campaigns Team is pivotal in building the organisation’s profile, reputation and supporter base, so that they can deliver their work around the world. The team focuses on delivering carefully planned integrated campaigns that employ online / offline activities and uses the power of unified marketing themes to reach a range of target audiences.
The Marketing Officer will play an important role in supporting the rest of the team to execute marketing activities that grow the supporter base, provide them with great experiences and position organisation as a partner of choice. This could involve working on both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing, communications and fundraising activities, plus internal innovation projects.
Working as the Marketing Officer you will report directly to the Marketing Campaigns Manager. Good relationship management will be critical to the success of this role. You will have many relationships of many different types – with internal clients, with internal specialists and with external agencies and suppliers. The ability to quickly digest information on new projects and marketing activities will also be key, as you help interpret requirements into actionable plans. It’s through these exciting, collaborative relationships that you will grow in expertise and experience. The role offers an amazing opportunity for an ambitious marketer, who is seeking exposure to a broad range of marketing disciplines and, ultimately, a rewarding role.
As a Marketing Officer you will have most likely had recent experience in a marketing agency and / or in-house marketing or fundraising team. From this you will have proven past success in account management or working within a team to deliver multi-channel campaigns on time and within budget will be crucial.
You have strong organisation skills, a keen attention to detail, enjoy working as a team and be hungry to learn.
You are a confident communicator and efficient project coordinator, with the ability to work with a range of people to help them successfully deliver campaigns and projects.
A self-starting attitude, the ability to adapt and a passion for the work will also be beneficial as you navigate working with different teams, across a variety of marketing projects.
