Marketing Assistant who has excellent organisational, time-management and administrative skills with experience writing briefs, copywriting and knowledge of direct marketing (including but not limited to direct mail, digital, social media and / or email marketing) is required by Guide Dogs based in Reading, Berkshire.

 

SALARY: £21,568 - £22,838 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Marketing Assistant who has excellent organisational, time-management and administrative skills with experience writing briefs, copywriting and knowledge of direct marketing (including but not limited to direct mail, digital, social media and / or email marketing).

Working as the Marketing Assistant (known within the organisation as a Committed Giving Campaign Executive) you will assist the team in a wide range of direct marketing campaigns to retain charity donors and where possible increase donations.

As the Marketing Assistant, you will play an important role within the day-to-day operations and will have a great opportunity to develop your skill set and knowledge across various marketing channels such as direct mail, digital advertising, promotion and online sponsorship, social media and email campaigns.

Your responsibilities as the Marketing Assistant will also include campaign analysis and reporting, tracking performance across all channels, liaising with advertising / media agencies and other external suppliers, copywriting and sourcing studies and images for campaigns.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Marketing Assistant:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of committed giving retention campaigns across all marketing channels (direct mail, digital, social media, email marketing etc.)
  • Measure campaign performance
  • Write briefs, source case studies, images and copywriting
  • Raise purchase orders and manage invoices
  • Maintain and update files for all campaigns, tracking performance
  • Undertake post campaign analysis, making recommendations for improving future campaigns
  • Work with the Digital Team, agencies and third party suppliers

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of working in a busy environment, with a variety of tasks to deliver
  • Direct Marketing and Administration experience
  • Very good organisation, communication and administrative skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail, highly literate and numerate
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of direct marketing principles and techniques
  • Previous experience working within the Charity Sector would be highly desirable
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
