Marketing Assistant / Campaign Support Executive who either has previous marketing experience or an interest in marketing with good administrative, organisational and time-management skills is required to join our friendly team at Guide Dogs based in Reading, Berkshire.

 

SALARY: £20,598 - £23,173 per annum

LOCATION: Reading, Berkshire (part office and part home based)

For this role, you’ll be working at least 1-2 days at our newly renovated Reading office and the rest from home.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Marketing Assistant / Campaign Support Executive who either has previous marketing experience or an interest in marketing with good administrative, organisational and time-management skills.

As the Marketing Assistant / Campaign Support Executive, we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about acquisition marketing, can work to tight deadlines and set budgets but is also passionate about making a difference and starting a career in the charity sector. You must be a good communicator, extremely organised and have strong creative skills. In turn, the successful Marketing Assistant / Campaign Support Executive you will be a joining a busy but collaborative team of like-minded marketing professionals.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Marketing Assistant / Campaign Support Executive include:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the campaigns, across all marketing channels including but not limited to direct mail, digital and social media, email and telemarketing, broadcast, print and face to face
  • Measure campaign performance making and implementing recommendations for improving results and processes
  • Write briefs, source case studies and images, write copy, circulate artwork and content for approval, coordinate with internal and external suppliers and manage the agreed campaign budget
  • Raise purchase orders and manage invoices
  • Maintain up to date and accurate files for all campaigns to enable historic tracking of the performance of each campaign
  • Undertake post campaign analysis, produce wrap up reports and make recommendations for campaign improvement
  • Work with suppliers to ensure quality work is delivered within the defined schedule and at a competitive cost
  • Work directly with the Digital Team and/or the relevant agencies to ensure product specific delivery of campaign content, referring to both the management of the digital delivery of designated fundraising campaigns, and ensuring that digital content on the Guide Dogs website and product social media pages for products is monitored for performance, updated for optimisation and fully compliant

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Proven experience of working in a busy environment with a successful track record of delivering against competing priorities
  • Previous exposure to working within Marketing or Administration. If no experience, a genuine interest in marketing
  • An understanding of administrative systems and competent in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisation, communication and administration skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

 

Desirable

  • Educated to degree/diploma level or equivalent qualification preferably in Fundraising and/or Marketing
  • Previous exposure to working in the charity sector
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a Direct Marketing team
  • Proven experience of working with a number of different teams and/or suppliers
  • Demonstrable ability to be proactive and problem-solve
