Marketing Assistant and Student Recruitment Coordinator & Admissions Administrator with excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills is required for a well-established School based in Sherborne, Dorset, South West England.

 

SALARY: up to £25,000 per annum (depending on experience) + 5 Weeks Holiday per Year

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Marketing Assistant and Student Recruitment Coordinator & Admissions Administrator with excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills.

Working as the Marketing Assistant and Student Recruitment Coordinator & Admissions Administrator you will assist the Director of Student Journey in conducting the School’s International Student Journey functions. This includes marketing, student recruitment, admissions, school visits and Future School placement.

As the Marketing Assistant and Student Recruitment Coordinator & Admissions Administrator you will support the Director with the international student’s journey from their first enquiry about joining the School and to the point when the student successfully moves to their new school.

Your responsibilities as the Marketing Assistant and Student Recruitment Coordinator & Admissions Administrator will also involve developing and sustaining excellent relationships with educational agents, to support recruitment of students to the School and Future Schools, to support the placement activities. Some overseas travel may consequently be a requirement of the role.

As a successful candidate you will have experience working in an administrative role and in a customer facing environment. A professional marketing qualification, as well as experience of working in educational institutions and/or in international markets, would also be an advantage.

DUTIES

  • Assist the Director of Student Journey in implementing the Marketing Strategy
  • Develop close and productive relationships with the educational agents, representatives and consultants who recruit students to the School. This may involve attending UK and overseas events
  • Assist in the planning, co-ordination, organisation and administration of all marketing events and recruitment visits, overseas, within the UK and at the School
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels of all printed and online information, documentation, marketing materials relating to the entry of students to the School.
  • Develop close relationships with the School’s Marketing and Registry operation
  • Make a key contribution to the operation and coordination of the admissions processes for all students
  • Ensure all enquiries, correspondence and liaison with prospective parents/agents are handled speedily, efficiently and effectively. Maintaining records and statistics
  • Assist in implementing effective arrangements for the testing and interviewing of prospective students
  • Responsible for maintaining the register of admissions to the School, and the current register of students at the School
  • Assist in the preparation of British Council-related administration
  • Assisting in management of the selection process for School/Sixth Form options, including arranging student visits; preparation for assessments and interviews; conduct of assessments and interviews, confirmation of place and outward administration
  • Maintain the database for Future School contacts

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills, knowledge and personal attributes.

 

Experience

Essential:

  • Work in an administrative role
  • Experience of forward/client facing work
  • Educated to A Level/equivalent standard or higher

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in educational institutions
  • A professional marketing qualification
  • Experience of working in international markets

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • An ability to gain the confidence and support of agents, parents and educational guardians
  • Experience in marketing
  • Knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of the requirements of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) with regard to overseas students and the granting of visas
  • Awareness, understanding and, ideally, experience of issues relating to safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of children
  • Experience of working within a customer facing environment
  • High level of IT skills, including proficient in use of Microsoft Office and maintenance and use of databases
  • Ability to keep accurate records and the ability to analyse the resultant data
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to manage own workload
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently at busy times
  • Current UK driving licence
