Lead Clinical Psychologist / Assessment & Therapy Service Leader with a Degree in Clinical Psychology (Doctorial / HCPC registered), and substantial experience of delivering psychological assessments for children, young people and families is required to join our Assessment and Therapy Services Team at Five Rivers Child Care.

 

SALARY: Circa £50,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Blended Working

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Fridays 9am – 4.30pm

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a unique opportunity for a Lead Clinical Psychologist / Assessment & Therapy Service Leader with a Degree in Clinical Psychology (Doctorial / HCPC registered), and substantial experience of delivering psychological assessments for children, young people and families.

As the Lead Clinical Psychologist / Assessment & Therapy Service Leader your key task is to develop and grow a new psychological assessment service, initially focusing on the North West London area and then growing the service to meet the needs of other London Boroughs and Local Authorities.

The Lead Clinical Psychologist / Assessment & Therapy Service Leader will ensure that the Five Rivers Assessment & Therapy offer of ‘psychological assessment’ meets all necessary standards of quality and soundness of assessment, formulation and opinion.

You will play a lead in the development and the delivery of the assessment service and will harness your clinical expertise, securing the best outcomes when working with professionals both within the wider Assessment & Therapy team and externally.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Lead Clinical Psychologist / Assessment & Therapy Service Leader you will have:

  • Degree in Clinical Psychology (Doctorial / HCPC registered)
  • Substantial experience of delivering psychological assessments for children, young people and families
  • Excellent formulation following assessments and compiling of psychological assessment reports
  • The ability to translate the assessment and formulation into a clear intervention plan and the cascading of this as practice approaches to teams
  • The ability to undertake family interventions and engage effectively externally as well as internally
  • Experience of the treatment of attachment and trauma related disorders
  • Experience of assessing complex needs (use of specialist assessments) and providing appropriate therapeutic interventions
  • Experience of managing risk and developing effective interventions and contributing to multi agency working
  • Writing of professional reports (expert witness etc)
  • Safeguarding qualifications – or willingness to complete training
  • Ability to evaluate the quality of services provided and produce recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to collate and analyse complex information, and produce and present quality reports in a variety of different settings, including courts and review meetings
  • A commitment to the principles of openness, transparency, leadership, and accountability
  • Ability to build professional relationships with children and multi-disciplinary teams that promote positive outcomes
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Computer literacy skills at a level to maintain case records within information management systems
  • Ability to work closely and support other practitioners, and maintain effective working relationships across the Integrated Assessment Service
