IT Technical Support Escalation Engineer who either comes from a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer background with the ability to manage escalations from the 3rd Line Support Team is required for a well-established IT Solutions Company based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

This is a highly technical role and will report directly to the Technical Director. You will be the ‘Go To’ person for every technical support employee within the business.

 

SALARY: up to £65,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

LOCATION: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Technical Support Escalation Engineer who either comes from a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer background with the ability to manage escalations from the 3rd Line Support Team.

Working as an IT Technical Support Escalation Engineer you will be challenged daily by driving complex issues to resolution. Dealing with escalations from 3rd Line Support Engineers and supporting the company’s professional services team with IT projects you will be a senior technical escalation point across the client services teams.

DUTIES

Your duties as an IT Technical Support Escalation Engineer will include:

  • Managing escalations from 3rd line Technical Support
  • Communicating with customers and key stakeholders on project progress or support incident status
  • Acting as a technical lead for P1 tickets or major incidents
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement both technically and in processes​ for clients and the company
  • Supporting and mentoring 1st/2nd Line Support Engineers

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified or working towards Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
  • Qualified or working towards Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Qualified or working towards Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Qualified or working towards MCSA / MCSE or Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role - must be experienced in an MSP setting
  • High level of competency and ability to diagnose technical issues
  • Ability to visualise a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Able to plan, develop and document complex technical solutions
  • Good understanding and level of vendor products listed above (some certification would be an advantage)
