HR Manager who has a solid generalist human resources background with a good commercial focus and strategic outlook is required for a standalone role with a fast-growing Facilities Management Company based in Sutton, South London.

 

SALARY: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum +Excellent Benefits (see below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Manager who has a solid generalist human resources background with a good commercial focus and strategic outlook

Working as the HR Manager you will lead the development of the people strategy, plans, framework and processes to support the culture and capability requirements to deliver the Company’s business goals and objectives.

As the HR Manager you will be required to lead all Human resource initiatives across the business and collaborate with senior board members to align and execute HR strategies in support of business objectives.

DUTIES

As the company’s standalone HR Manager your role will include:

  • Overall day to day management of all HR functions
  • Collaborate with senior board members to align and execute HR strategies in support of business objectives
  • To lead all HR initiatives across the business
  • Apply and feed in HR risk and requirements to business plans and activities
  • To promote and maintain stability and limited staff churn within the Company
  • Provide advice on recruitment and selection including reviewing and writing job descriptions and preparing interviews questions and testing etc
  • To attract, recruit, develop and retain talented colleagues
  • Full employee life cycle and HR admin including obtaining references, new start letters and contracts, exit interviews
  • Be the recruitment lead including full candidate management
  • Implement strategic workforce planning, supply and demand and gap analysis
  • Oversee the induction process
  • Provide advice, support and coaching to colleagues regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Provide coaching and support to staff with line management responsibilities
  • Oversee the absence process with support from payroll
  • Investigate, resolve and/or co-ordinate grievances, disputes, absence, disciplinaries, retirement and redundancy in partnership with HR Consultants
  • Champion learning and development throughout the organisation
  • Ensure that the Company stays within compliance with all HR related Government regulations and guidelines
  • Handle the TUPE lifecycle
  • Monitor absence and attendance, including sickness absence and Return to Work processes
  • Facilitate and assist with the implantation and progression of Personal
  • Development Programs and wider Performance Management Issues
  • Champion the Company culture and enforce team spirit by supporting Company events

  

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
  • Proven HR generalist experience within a standalone HR management role
  • You will be resilient, action oriented with an analytical mind
  • You will need to have a commercial focus and have significant HR experience with the ability to take a proactive approach to problem solving
  • You should be structured and organised in your approach
  • You will be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and their teams, you will be a strong communicator and will be skilled at building effective working relationships
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You will need to have the ability to communicate complex, sensitive and contentious information
  • Professional and self-motivated
  • Tactful, diplomatic and able to deal with difficult situations
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice
