HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant is required to support our Head Teacher and other Teachers at 1ACE (Another Chance Education) part of Five Rivers Child Care.
Our 1ACE (Another Chance Education) provision is for children and young people who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings. Our teachers and support workers are specialist trained to work in developing the child.
SALARY: £20,000 - £22,500 per annum + Benefits (See Below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will support our Head Teacher and other Teachers within the school.
We are looking for an Innovative and Creative HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at our Outreach provision in Taunton, Somerset. In this role you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
Working alongside the Head teacher and other Teachers, as the HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will support with learning activities, help plan lessons, prepare teaching materials and resources. You will give clear and effective teaching to secure pupil progress whilst assessing the development, progress, and attainment of pupils. You are also contributing to an integrated model of care and 1ACE outreach developmental plan whist supporting the pupils, recognising, and responding to their individual needs.
As the HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will have a good understanding of the national curriculum framework and differentiation. Ideally, we would like you to have gained an education standard of up to degree level, whilst showing evidence of vocational education or experience relevant to this post. Having experience of working with SEMH children would be advantageous.
