Our new school ‘Endeavour House School’, based in Ilford, is for those who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings. Our teachers and support workers are specialist trained to work in developing the children who would have had experience of an Adverse Childhood Experience. Our ATIC model (Attachment Trauma Informed Care) approach boosts confidence, self-esteem and helps our young people to develop skills to be a successful learner. This approach is used to recognise and reduce barriers to learning and create a personalised curriculum.
Using the Pro-approach training the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will receive for this role, you will be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
Working alongside the Headteacher and teachers the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will support with learning activities, help plan lessons and prepare teaching materials and resources.
You will give clear and effective teaching to secure pupil progress whilst assessing the development, progress and attainment of pupils. You will contribute to an integrated model of care supporting the pupils, recognising, and responding to their individual needs.
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who has a good understanding of the national curriculum framework and differentiation. Ideally, we would like you to have gained an education standard of up to degree level, whilst showing evidence of vocational education or experience relevant to this post.
