Engineering Apprenticeship / Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with a demonstrable interest in an engineering discipline is required for an apprenticeship programme and train within Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a well-established Company based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

 

SALARY: Starting Salary £18,450 per annum rising to £41,000 per annum

LOCATION: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Engineering Apprenticeship / Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with a demonstrable interest in an engineering discipline is required for an apprenticeship programme and train within Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

Working as the Engineering Apprenticeship / Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer you will join the Engineering team at this state-of-the-art site and undertake an advanced four-year apprenticeship as a multi-skilled engineer, leading to a nationally recognised qualification and accreditation.

As the Engineering Apprenticeship / Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be educated to A Level standard, or equivalent in an engineering or science related subject and will have an aptitude for practical science or engineering skills.

 

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Engineering Apprenticeship / Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer:

  • To complete a programme of training to be conducted within Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and all other aspects as covered the course
  • To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of machine tools including, but not restricted to, conventional and CNC turning and milling, grinding and drilling
  • In agreement with the Departmental Technical Managers / Departmental Technical Supervisors, the job holder will be required to attend and complete required national recognised training courses. This will involve attendance at local educational establishments, on a “day release”, and evening class basis as appropriate

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE’s, or equivalent at Grade A* to C including English, Maths and a science related subject
  • A minimum of 2 “A” levels, or equivalent, in an engineering or science related subject
  • No prerequisite experience required but a demonstrable interest in an engineering discipline through school or hobby interests
  • I.T. literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent software
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Highly motivated
  • Aptitude for practical science or engineering skills
