Working as a Document Production Technician / Operator you will be based in the Central Team where you will support and provide a Document Service to the company’s site in Cumbria.
As a Document Production Technician / Operator you will provide a high-quality service, processing documents using Document Management Software whilst meeting service level agreement guidelines.

DUTIES
Your role as a Document Production Technician / Operator will include:
- Production of Site Documentation upon request to ensure compliance with Document Control guidelines
- Knowledge of Site Documentation and Link Map
- Knowledge of Document Management System (DaISY)
- Complete and update the tracking spreadsheet accordingly to allow collation of department performance figures
- Endeavour to build, develop and enhance relationships and contacts
- Provide a quality service to the client
- Ensure SLA Achievement is met
- Must ensure company ethics, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel and Visio
- Carry out all reasonable requests given by the Supervisor, Line Management and the client in a timely manner
- Support the Head of Document Production and the Document Quality Co-ordinator to ensure effective delivery of the service
- The jobholder must be able to communicate with the customer via Microsoft Outlook, telephone and face to face
- Able to discuss the customers needs providing a first class economical service
- The job holder will receive tasks in a number of ways including hard copy and electronic formats
- Comply with Health and Safety requirements associated with the position
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Level 2 Word Processing Qualification or experience
- Level 3 or above Word Processing Qualification desirable
- First class communication and customer service skills
- Strong prioritisation, time management and organisation skills
- Proven delivery of accurate and thorough work
- Proven reliability in customer service and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally at all levels
- Able to work to deadlines and meet targets; flexible and adaptable
- Able to quickly familiarise and become expert with the Document Management technology and business processes
- Able to manage confidential issues
- Proven IT skills including Excel, Word and Email
- Strong influencing and team working skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships with both colleagues and clients, promoting and embracing change

- Customer service background desirable
