Job Description

Customer Service Manager who has a polite and professional telephone manner with the ability to listen and understand client enquiries that also works to a high level of accuracy is required for a well-established Company based in Totton, Hampshire (around a 15 minute drive from Southampton)

Although previous customer service experience is preferred, it’s not essential providing you have the qualities required to be successful in the role such as, a helpful telephone manner – going the extra mile for clients ensuring they receive a first-class customer experience, be highly organised and have excellent communication skills.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Customer Service Manager who has a polite and professional telephone manner with the ability to listen and understand client enquiries that also works to a high level of accuracy.

Working as the Customer Service Manager you will join a leading distributor of non-food products to hotels, leisure, catering and other businesses within the hospitality sector, supplying a large portfolio of customers.

To join the Company in this role, you do not necessarily need a previous background as a Customer Service Manager, Agent or Advisor. However, you must have a helpful telephone manner – going the extra mile for clients ensuring they receive a first-class customer experience, be highly organised and have excellent communication skills, in addition to a desire to start a career in customer services. Additional training is provided.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Customer Service Manager:

  • Dealing with customers’ requests by telephone and email
  • Taking and processing customer orders
  • Providing support to the Sales team
  • Assisting customers with product enquiries and availability dates
  • Liaising with internal functions – stock control; credit control etc. 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Although previous customer service experience is preferred, it’s not essential providing you have the qualities required to be successful in the role such as, a helpful telephone manner – going the extra mile for clients ensuring they receive a first-class customer experience, be highly organised and have excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Bright, aware and enthusiastic.
  • Customer service focused
  • Able to demonstrate good organisation and communication skills
  • Enjoy being part of a busy team environment
