We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Motor Insurance Contact Centre Customer Claims Handler who has a friendly, professional and confident telephone manner with excellent customer service skills.

DUTIES:

Your duties and responsibilities as the Customer Claims Handler:

  • Investigating, negotiating and settling claims within agreed authority levels in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Providing a high standard and quality of customer service
  • Registering allocated new claims to the mainframe systems on day of receipt and validating cover
  • Liaising with underwriters where necessary and ensuring application of appropriate clauses, endorsements, conditions, etc.
  • Paying valid claims ensuring the proper application of policy limits, excesses and best practice
  • Handling allocated internal tasks, e.g. inactivity and diaries to ensure that all are dealt with within applicable time limits

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

  • The ability to organise and multi-task
  • Good level of competency in Maths and English
  • Positive attitude and professionalism with excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding of a compliant and target driven environment
  • High levels of resilience, perseverance, self-belief and motivation
  • End to end motor claims handling experience is desirable - full technical training will be given
