Curriculum and Data Assistant / MI Reporting Analyst with advanced ICT skills, particularly in databases, spreadsheets and management information systems (ideally iSAMS), the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and good humour, is required for a well-established Senior School that is all about getting the very best – intellectually, personally and spiritually from the young people it is privileged to care for.

 

SALARY: £31,642 - £33,370 pro rata (Actual Salary based on Part-Time Hours: £18,400 to £19,400 per annum)         

LOCATION: York, North Yorkshire                              

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 5 Hours per Day, Monday to Friday During Term Time plus 15 Days during the summer holidays around exam results

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Curriculum and Data Assistant / MI Reporting Analyst with advanced ICT skills, particularly in databases, spreadsheets and management information systems (ideally iSAMS), the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and good humour.

Working as the Curriculum and Data Assistant / MI Reporting Analyst you will generate accurate and robust management information about student test and exam results, student progress and subject choices by populating a variety of reports and spreadsheets.

As the Curriculum and Data Assistant / MI Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for producing meaningful and useful data analysis for key decision makers, and will work on the logistics of the production of the yearly academic timetable.

 

DUTIES

Your duties as the Curriculum and Data Assistant / MI Reporting Analyst will include:

  • The maintenance of management reporting using iSAMS software
  • The uploading of data for the production of a variety of reports
  • Generating meaningful report data for use by tutors, Heads of Department, Heads of Year and senior leadership colleagues
  • Supporting the Assistant Head (Curriculum Logistics) in identifying option block patterns for the academic timetable
  • Supporting the Assistant Head (Curriculum Logistics) in the annual creation of the yearly academic timetable and classroom timetable
  • Preparing software for the selection by students of GCSE and A Level options, and inputting of choices
  • Preparing spreadsheets for the reporting and analysis of exam results

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Advanced ICT skills, particularly in databases, spreadsheets and management information systems
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and good humour
  • Ability to multi-task while keeping in mind the overall priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for mistakes or anomalies in data
  • Ability to present the analysis of complex data in a meaningful way for decision makers
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people while maintaining a helpful, professional and kind manner
  • Highly organised and efficient

Desirable

  • Familiarity with iSAMS
  • Previous experience in a school setting and an understanding of the rhythm of the school year
  • Education to at least A Level or equivalent
