Commercial Marketing Business Operations Manager who has experience managing eCommerce or Mail Order sites with full ROI, Budgets and P&L responsibility is required by Guide Dogs.

 

SALARY: £44,365 to £46,973 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Commercial Marketing Business Operations Manager who has experience managing eCommerce or Mail Order sites with full ROI, Budgets and P&L responsibility.

Working as the Commercial Marketing Business Operations Manager you will join our central Fundraising Team. The Team play a key role in ensuring that we continue to be able to help people with sight loss to live the life they choose.

As the Commercial Marketing Business Operations Manager, you will manage the strategic and operational running of Guide Dogs commercial operation.

The role sets and delivers the commercial strategy, working with the Fundraising Management Team, to increase market share and profitability, while considering organisational cost savings and benefits as well as income.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Commercial Marketing Business Operations Manager:

  • Overall responsibility for the Guide Dogs Commercial offering, online and offline. With full P&L responsibility, budgeting and responsibility for reaching financial targets and achieving a profitable ROI
  • Definition and delivery of the Commercial strategy, 5-year plan and budgets
  • Devise and deliver integrated online and offline marketing strategies
  • Lead Customer and market research and analysis to maintain an understanding of the most profitable existing and potential customer segments for future targeting
  • Full review of existing product range and ongoing product performance monitoring and market research
  • Overall responsibility for customer experience to maximise conversion
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Full understanding of legal and commercial aspects of ecommerce in terms of customer compliance, data protection and customer terms and conditions
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of the commercial activity calendar for the year, detailing seasonal launches, marketing initiatives, product launches and any other ad-hoc projects
  • Work with colleagues in wider digital and marketing team to ensure brand consistency, prevent audience cannibalisation and be a true team player

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or equivalent in Marketing / Digital / Business / Retail / Economics or equivalent experience
  • Have commercial experience across multiple channels
  • Have experience of managing Ecommerce sites and mail order with full ROI, budget and profit and loss responsibility with a sales targeted environment
  • Experience of cross channel retail marketing strategy, creation and implementation
  • Experience of product-buying and supplier selection
  • Have up to date knowledge of safeguarding and data protection in marketing, and knowledge of legislation relevant to Commercial activities
  • Have excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
