SALARY: £26,364 – £32,448 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a CNC Operator / Lathe Setter Turner / Machinist who has an eye for detail, is organised with great time-management skills.
Working as the CNC Operator / Lathe Setter Turner / Machinist you will preferably have tool room experience and ideally experience using XYZ Lathes.
As the CNC Operator / Lathe Setter Turner / Machinist you will machine components to the Spindle Services Standards and to drawing tolerances in an economical fashion using the XYZ CNC Lathe.
As a successful candidate you will be operating a 3 year old XYZ SLX425 x 1.25m Pro Turn Lathe.

DUTIES
Your duties as the CNC Operator / Lathe Setter Turner / Machinist include:
- Machining components to the required standard to drawing tolerances
- Inspecting components as required using the various inspection facilities available
- Preparing raw material as required (i.e.: cutting to length etc.)
- Identifying tooling requirements for production purposes and procurement of tooling as required in conjunction with production engineering
- Identifying potential improvements in productivity and liaising with production engineering as required to implement improvements
- Cleaning down machines on a daily basis to enable a good level of housekeeping to be maintained
- Organising tooling and fixturing to allow easy access to all machinists and easy identification
- Maintaining a Good Level of Housekeeping
- Problem solving within the team and independently
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Time served machinist, preferably with tool room experience
- Attention to detail and works to a high level of accuracy
- Experience using lathes and a range of hand tools and saws
