DUTIES
Your duties as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the organisation's mission and objectives
- Provide leadership and guidance to the executive team and staff, ensuring clarity of purpose and alignment with organisational goals
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across all departments
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and community organisations
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust fundraising strategy to support the organisation's financial sustainability and growth
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement
- Represent the organisation at public events, conferences, and media engagements, raising awareness of our mission and impact
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector or a related field. Although, the organisation will consider candidates from other industries / sectors, providing you have the leadership skills required for the role
- Strong strategic planning and organisational development skills, with a track record of achieving measurable results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards a common goal
- Experience in fundraising, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and stewardship would be highly desirable
- A passion for social justice and a commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities
