We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a either a Carpenter or Joiner looking to break into teaching or an experienced Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer / Assessor / Trainer looking for a new opportunity.
As a Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer / Assessor / Trainer you will join a training college that runs courses designed specifically for apprentices, existing trades people and employers, the Construction Skills Centre is a professional environment which feels much more like a workplace than a college or school. Apprentices develop the workplace skills that are in high demand, like punctuality, teamwork and communication, whilst learning the very highest level of practical skills in brand new workshops with state-of-the-art equipment and materials. Adults can upskill or re-certify in a professional environment, working alongside an experienced team of trainers who genuinely understand their industry.
Working as a Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer / Assessor / Trainer you will be part of small, enthusiastic and highly committed team and will work with level 2 and level 3 Carpentry and Joinery apprentices in the classroom and workshops, which will also involve carrying out assessments in the workplace.
If you haven’t taught or demonstrated practical skills before, then don’t worry – no qualifications are necessary! The college will help you to qualify – what they ask to start with is that you are enthusiastic and passionate about transferring your skills and outstanding customer service on to the next generation of industry professionals. The college can teach you to teach!
