Administrator & School Business Coordinator who has excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills is required to join our fantastic team at ‘The Spires’, a Five Rivers Child Care School.

 

SALARY: £23,500 - £26,500 per annum

JOB OVERVIEW

Our school “The Spires” rated “GOOD” by Ofsted, located in the South of Wiltshire, works with children who have social, emotional and emerging mental health needs. The school is based in a listed building in a quiet area of Salisbury, providing a safe and nurturing environment for anxious, vulnerable pupils who are unable to sustain a mainstream placement.

Our school offers a balance of academic studies, physical and outdoor education, vocational studies and personal development programmes. Our children are taught in small groups or on a one to one basis, using bite size learning based on personal interests and community issues to help engage the children and help extend their concentration. 

The Administrator & School Business Coordinator role we are looking to fill is one of importance to the school as it is to provide front of house, administrative and clerical support to the school, colleagues and Head of Education.

Working as the Administrator & School Business Coordinator you will take over all responsibility for all administrative tasks for the school whilst overseeing the Health and Safety standards and record keeping. Some duties include, for example; managing the school administrative function, keeping clerical and computerised records of pupils and staff, with the Facilities team and ICT support service ensure that the school has a strategy for using technology, ensure the school’s equality policy is clearly communicated to all staff in school, ensure that all recruitment, appraisal, staff development, grievance, disciplinary and redundancy policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements with HR support.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Administrator & School Business Coordinator you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Strong administrative skills along with being organised with a methodical approach, with the ability to be flexible and patient
  • Understanding school & exam procedures along with an understanding of safeguarding is desirable
  • Experience of working in a school setting would be beneficial but not essential
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or 4 and above (or equivalent) is essential where NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration would be advantage

 

If you are successful you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS Disclosure check prior to their employment and then on a 3-yearly update. Five Rivers requires full and satisfactory employment references covering 3 years. We require all new employees to bring proof of their identity and proof of right to work in the UK
