Patient Care Administrator / Post-Operative Scheme Administration Assistant who has excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills with experience and knowledge of post-operative pathways is required for a well-established company based in central Bolton, Greater Manchester, North West England.

In additional to having excellent administrative skills candidates will have experience working within the medical sector such as in hospitals, doctors surgeries, medical clinics and experience liaising with patients.

 

SALARY: £17,423 per annum + Annual Performance Bonus + Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Patient Care Administrator / Post-Operative Scheme Administration Assistant who has excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills with experience and knowledge of post-operative pathways.

Working as a Patient Care Administrator / Post-Operative Scheme Administration Assistant you will be managing the care for patients subscribed on any post-operative scheme.

As the Patient Care Administrator / Post-Operative Scheme Administration Assistant you will have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the different post-operative pathways for different CCG areas and be the key contact or any associated queries. You will be responsible for extracting relevant clinical information from patient records and updating clinical systems. You will record consistent, accurate data to facilitate managers and clinicians in the monitoring, planning and provision of high-quality patient care.

 

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Patient Care Administrator / Post-Operative Scheme Administration Assistant will include:

  • Coordinate the medical pathway for post-operative scheme patients, ensuring that care is provided within allocated time-frames, to accurately record all external appointments attended as part of the Post-Operative Scheme
  • Handle emergency appointment information to ensure, out of process, not planned appointments are captured and recorded in the system in a reportable format
  • Monitor and rectify any delays to incoming post-operative reports opticians.
  • Work closely with the Sales Administrator to ensure all post-operative appointments and documentation is up to date and recorded
  • Extract all clinical information from the patient health record
  • Input all outpatient appointments onto the Patient Administration System within agreed timescales
  • Communicate effectively with clinicians and administration colleagues as required
