Administrator / Customer Support Administration Assistant with proven administrative experience within a Customer Service environment, excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of GDPR regulations, is required by Guide Dogs.

 

SALARY: £18,000 - £20,250 pro rata

LOCATION: This role will have opportunities to work from home as well as being office based.  Preference for office location will be discussed at interview stage.       

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm or 10am – 6pm Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Customer Support Administration Assistant with proven administrative experience within a Customer Service environment, excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of GDPR regulations.

Working as the Administrator / Customer Support Administration Assistant you will deal with all first line enquiries, using a person-centred approach, to ensure service users are provided with accurate and relevant information in relation to the Tech for All initiative 

Tech for All provides free assistive technology to all children, aged between three and 18, with a vision impairment in the UK.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Administrator / Customer Support Administration Assistant will include:

  • Ensure families are triaged and referred to the relevant internal specialists
  • Facilitate conversations with families via phone, digital platforms and email following the Charity processes
  • Empower parents, carers and young adults over 18 through appropriate IAG that enables them to better understand, navigate and manage the statutory processes and procedures involved in their child's journey
  • Use initiative and emotional intelligence to adapt style and content of the interaction, identify the need of the service user ensuring information is accurately entered and updated onto databases
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current legislation, statutory processes and guidelines concerning SEND (including vision impairment)
  • Advise the Supervisor of any issues that affect the ability to follow a process or procedure as well as passing on constructive feedback which could lead to improvements in the service

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Educated to post-secondary level with a minimum of 3 GCSE passes including Maths & English at grade C (or equivalent) (QCF level 2 / SQCF level 5)
  • Proven experience in administration within a Customer Service environment
  • Demonstrable experience of using a Customer Relation Management (CRM) system
  • A comprehensive knowledge of GDPR regulations
  • Clear understanding and experience of safeguarding
  • Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity

 

Desirable

  • Lived experience of vision impairment (either self or direct family member)
  • Experience of dealing with complex queries and/or complaints
  • Experience of creating an inclusive work environment for people with a disability
