Administrator / Customer Service Fundraising Assistant who has excellent administrative, time-management and written and verbal communication skills is required by Guide Dogs based in Atherton, Wigan, Greater Manchester, North West England.

 

SALARY: £18,000 - £20,250 pro rata

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Customer Service Fundraising Assistant who has excellent administrative, time-management and written and verbal communication skills.

Working as the Administrator / Customer Service Fundraising Assistant you will provide high-quality front-line customer service and support on a wide range of fundraising products to the functions within the Community Fundraising teams including volunteers, the general public and staff.

As the Administrator / Customer Service Fundraising Assistant you will need previous experience working within a customer services environment and experience working within an administrative role.

 

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Administrator / Customer Service Fundraising Assistant will include:

  • Front-line support for all fundraising activities. Deal directly with supporters and volunteers either by phone, electronically or by post. Handle and resolve any issues or complaints. Obtain information to handle enquiries, record all interactions on relevant database
  • Data inputting and maintaining relevant databases and produce reports as required. Maintain files and data in line with General Data Protection regulations
  • Deal with all relevant correspondence and enquiries, assists in planning and organising communications including newsletters and mail shots. Conducts telephone questionnaires and surveys, assists in the production and distribution of support materials to stakeholders (fundraising groups, volunteers etc.) and supporters
  • Processes direct payments, reimbursement claim forms.  Provide guidance to Treasurers and group officials and help to resolve issues at local level
  • Send all fundraising welcome packs, and other resources such as collection boxes to local network
  • Liaise with local groups and supporters to support their fundraising activities. Provide general admin support for the Community Fundraising Development Officers and Community fundraising management team

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working in a Customer Services environment
  • Proven experience of working in administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Packages and the ability to use Customer Relationship databases
  • Able to use own initiative and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • High customer service skills and dedication to a customer focussed service
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
  • Confident telephone manner showing patience, empathy and listening skills
  • Able to handle difficult conversations in a calm and non-judgemental way
  • A willingness to work as part of a team to achieve results
  • Able to work effectively to achieve agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Previous exposure to working in the charity sector (Desirable)
