JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior Finance / Accounts Assistant with previous experience working within a Finance Department who has exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, is highly organised and has the ability to multi-task.

As the Junior Finance / Accounts Assistant you will work closely with the Transactional Accounting Manager and Accounts Assistants’, to ensure the smooth running of the billing and payables processes, ensuring that invoices are raised and distributed in a timely manner and ensuring Supplier invoices are booked, authorised, and paid according to payment terms.

As the Junior Finance / Accounts Assistant you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience using Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

 

DUTIES

As the Junior Finance / Accounts Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all Supplier Invoices are logged
  • Daily Batch posting of supplier Invoices to ledger
  • Review and amendment of rejected invoices
  • Management of ‘Proforma’ Invoices
  • Assisting suppliers with statement / remittance reconciliations
  • Updating PO status report with Invoice data
  • Dealing with internal and external queries with regarding invoices or payments
  • Supplier account maintenance – including updating of supplier master data (addresses/payment terms), and de-activating of accounts when dormant
  • Corporate Credit Card and Employee expense Processing
  • Review all Payment before Departure (PBD) billing. Making any corrections as required to ensure accurate billing
  • Creation of all Client account-based billing in CRM
  • Passing through all relevant billing data to credit controller for Credit Card payment processing
  • Monitoring of 3rd party recharge AP invoices and ensuring they are accurately recorded for billing. Ensuring all back up is correctly held in the system
  • Distribution of all Invoices, with back up, to customers daily
  • Reconciling to ensure all operational service charges have correctly filtered through
  • Liaising with security team for the timely billing of Security Passes
  • Quarterly Rent and Utility Invoicing
  • Ad Hoc misc. invoicing
  • Answering/supporting business with queries
  • Ensuring all Accounting and Financial Policies, and controls are adhered to
  • Assistance in the provision of data for audits when required
  • Ensure all GDPR policies are adhered to within all finance processes, escalating any potential breaches to the CFO

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be highly organised with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong ability to solve problems using their own initiative
  • Previous experience working within Finance Department
  • Good System skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • AAT qualification would be preferred, but not essential
