HR Manager required in Colchester, Essex.

This is a new Human Resources position due to the restructuring and expansion of the organisation.

The salary scales for the HR Manager is: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

Working as the HR Manager you will be responsible for all Human Resources and Training (Learning and Development) activities within the organisation.

Your duties will include:

• Review, monitor and update Human Resources policies, procedures and handbooks to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices;

• Provide advice and direction on Employment Law and Employee Relation processes;

• Take the lead role in any Disciplinary and Grievance procedures;

• Provide monthly reports for the Charity’s Senior Management Team;

• Liaise closely with the Finance and Facilities Manager in line with managing payroll;

• Monitor and record staff absences and annual leave entitlement;

• Review and monitor staff appraisals and other performance reviews;

• Oversee all recruitment and selection processes by being an integral part of the recruitment of staff, which includes writing job descriptions and job adverts, interviewing and carrying out new starter inductions;

• Promote equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of individuals;

• Manage and implement the Organisational Learning and Development Training Plan in line with budgets and timescales;

• Have a strategic overview on all aspects of training and staff development, putting in place effective training and development systems.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as an HR Manager with some Learning and Development (Training) experience. You will also be CIPD qualified (or equivalent) and be comfortable working in a standalone role as the sole Human Resources specialist onsite.
