Retail Store Development Manager | Fixtures and Fittings

Details

Retail Store Development Manager required to take ownership of a wide range of projects centred on new concepts and designs for shop fixtures and fittings, mannequins, hangers and other special features displayed in the stores.

Successful candidate will get the opportunity to work for a truly global brand within the sporting world.

Your main base will be at the company’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. You do not need to speak German, but you MUST be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working as the Retail Store Development Manager (Fixtures and Fittings) your duties will include:

• Manage the technical development process of retail fixture and fittings concepts from prototype to mass production;

• Liaise closely with Global Store Design Department, which will involve reviewing technical drawings and specifications for new fixtures and fittings, providing expert advice on materials, sourcing requirements, development of prototypes, and engineering / build guidelines;

• Liaise with and brief the Global Procurement Team in sourcing the products / materials required;

• Visit the factories of the global supply chain to review prototypes, carry out quality control checks, pre-empting any potential manufacturing issues before full mass production begins;

• Ensure all global suppliers work from one source of technical information per concept;

• Constantly review market on new materials and techniques within the store fixtures and fittings arena.

Ideal Candidates for the Store Development Manager Vacancy:

• Will know how to evaluate a store design plan with a deep understanding of what fixtures and fittings will be required, and know how to source or manufacture them;

• Previous experience in a retail based technical development role, sourcing retail store fixtures and fittings;

• Strong ability to negotiate with suppliers and other 3rd party providers;

• Any previous experience / knowledge in Shopfitting / Store Installation, or a technical background in carpentry, furniture work, metal work, woodwork or glasswork would be highly desirable, although not essential.
